Training/winter frame

I am after a cheap frame for a winter and training bike project.
Ideally should have clearance for 'guards and 25mm tyres. Rack mounts would be good, but needs to be a sporty ride to encourage me to put the hammer down.
Other than the obvious Ribble winter frame, any other recommendations?

Take a look at the Kenisis T2 or TK3. That would be my choice.0

cheap frame would suggest to me that you should perhaps look at second hand ... but I suppose that depends on your definition of cheap ... !

Haven't ridden one though, so can't say if it'll encourage you to put the hammer down. Should be good for all weathers with the disc brakes though.0 -

good commuter and all round bike, but not that quick and heavy.
