Quick question: I am doing a (British Cycling) Masters Race at Hillingdon in a couple of weeks. It's open to cats 1,2,3,4 and it's a Regional Masters C+. Is the points allocation therefore 10 points for the win, down to 1 point for 10th place, just like a normal BC any-age race? And in a mixed Cat race, do the different Cats score separately?

nope - the points will go to whoever is in the top 10.0

In Masters C/D races run concurrently with E/F races, points go to the top 10 in each group. So two sets of points on offer -- one for C/D racers (40-49 years old), one for E/F racers (50+ years old).
I believe Hillingdon falls into this category, at least it did last year -- these are the Wed evening races, right?

No, they are regular BC points. This is the dirty little secret of Masters races... you can finish 11th and still get 10 points.Patron wrote:Are Masters points separate from "normal" BC points?
