re-joining KMC chain

So, basically, I was a bit of a hasty idiot. I used a chain tool to break my KMC chain. I didn't do this near the quick link, I did it near the middle.

I gather that the pin I removed is not re-useable.

So I can see two options to solve my balls-up:

1: buy a KMC Missing link (£8)
2: buy a pair of SRAM powerlinks (£5)

Do I have any other options?

I think you've adequately summarised your options. Option 3 is of course a new chain!

Thanks, I thought I had too, I figured that KMC wouldn't make any joining pins like shimano do. Option three was out of the question because it is a brand new chain!

I popped to the LBS and picked up a BBB quick link for £4. I'll fit it in the morning, and then I'll get to use my new bike at last :D
