    I'm inclined to post the sleepy kid picture again but there is this wonderful climb on the route that could turn interesting. Thing is - as it's before the last 20km before the finish line, we probably won't get pictures of the ascent...

    We should get coverage of the climb, since it's starts at the 45kms to go mark.
    The uncatergorised "bump" that comes a few kms after it also has a section of 18%
    and averages around 8%, I believe.
    The final 200 metres are the reason this could be one for Gilbert/Stybar, or Rodriguez/Moreno/Valverde.
    Now, watch the breakaway win.

    Finish is in Flecha's hometown, plus it seems to be a breakaway-friendly stage, so he might as well take the win.

    With regard to a nickname for Ten Dam can I suggest Hooch as in the film "Turner and Hooch"

    Apparently not a crash today; as stated by Belkin: "#LaVuelta - No crash for @laurenstendam today, but abandons because of severe bruise on thigh as result of TT crash. He tried, had to stop.."

    Pretty good stage this.

    Lovely scenery, very green and roads are smooth as you like.

    Gilbert in fine form.

    Red jersey group pretty small and a strong break up ahead.

    Nibs has a lot of support from his boys in blue.

    Liquigas came to the front for Basso a little while ago and now FDJ are powering away. The peloton has been lined out single file ever since the top of the climb. Must be a tailwind as they are hammering. Break up front collaborating well.

    Glad for Barguil, easy win for him in the end though due to the messing about and all looking at each other behind him until it was too late for any of them.

    I just read that Barguil's pointing to the heavens was for his dad who had sadly passed away a couple of years earlier. Love that photo so much.
