Morning all

Just a quick one - does anyone know the spacing for a Premiere rear wheel - ie can I throw on a track wheel for s/s use?

Thank you very much.

If only you knew someone who owned a Premiere, you could ask them to measure it!

If it's 5-speed then it's likely 120mm, if 6 then 126mm but given that it's a steel frame, fitting a track hub and nipping up the nuts to pull in the stays to hold a track wheel if OK - rode a bike like that for many years without any issue.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

I have a 6-speed 80s Peugeot, albeit a PH-11, and the rear spacing was 126mm. I say "was", since steel allows for cold setting if you know what you are doing.

Depending on when it was made, an 80s 5 speed might be 126mm. 5 speed bikes continued to be produced following the adoption of 6 and 7, and some used the wider spacing. Measure it; it's not hard.
