Anyone help on what bike I shud get?
Its between an on-one

I do a mix of singletracks, trail centres amd day expeditions in scottish highlands

    Very different bikes. The On One is a steel 140mm long travel hardcore hardtail, the Talon a fairly lightweight 100mm travel xc bike.

    You haven't linked the Giant, but spec and value for money wise the On One will probably be the better buy. But really depends on what you fancy in terms of long travel vs XC. For me it would be the On One - it looks excellent. And very nice in the Super Raw.

    i wud naturally go to the on-one bike but edinburgh bikes have a sale this wkend and the giant has gone down to £764 from 899

    The Giant looks ok to be honest. You can usually get a bit more bang for you buck with a Boardman, Rockrider etc though if you want more xc bike.

    If you think the On One suits you then I'd go with that. There's another poster on here recently bought this in the super raw and loves it. Do a search (think its the thread comparing the On one with a Whyte 905)
