Hi All

What are Superstar brake pads like and is the Kevlar the better material to go for so you have good braking and wear resistance, been going through Shimano organic/resin ones quite quickly.

Thanks for any advise in advance.

I got the sintered ones to replace my shimano organics, they have great wear properties and performance appears to be as good to me.

Kevlar are quite grippy but in the wet condiions (such as riding in NI) you'd go through a set of pads in 2 weeks. I ordered the Sintered ones for a race last month and they're sold out until May - sent me Kevlar instead which are as useful as a chocolate teapot right now.

I've used their organics all winter - just brake less.

And I've had SS Kevlars in since June 2013 and had a look the other day and they still have plenty of meat on them, which may bunk the as much use ass a chocolate teapot theory.

To be fair, I'm pretty slow.
