Both shimano.

Do you use the thin spacer that comes with the casette and the thick spacer that comes with the hub or just the thick spacer with the hub?

Cheers

    I thought I would bump this thread rather than create a new one for what could possibly be this weeks silliest question.

    Shimano 11 Speed Hub with a Shimano 10 Speed Cassette.
    Which is the preferred method of fitting the components to the hub or does it not matter;
    1: Hub: 1.85mm Spacer -> 1mm Spacer -> Cassette
    2: Hub: 1mm Spacer -> 1.85mm Spacer -> Cassette

    The reason I ask is that the 1.85mm spacers that I've seen seem to be machined to fit splines whereas the 1mm spacers are not, so I'm not too sure if one should be before the other if it's intended to grip the hub in anyway.

    Cheers,

    Jason

    On most cassettes it wouldn't matter, but on the old Tiagra 10s (not sure about any recent changed) the joining pins protrude out of the back of the cassette. That's where those little indentations on the thick spacer need to sit.

    Brilliant ~ I'll have to keep an eye out for those just in case.
