Hi I am thinking of getting a new MTB, to replace my aging GT Avalanche 0.0

what kind of price am I looking at to replace with same spec or better?

I have found a SPECIALIZED Hardrock - L @£360 or do I need to spend more?

any ideas?

Your Avalanche is a lot better than a new Hardrock - as Hardrocks are bloody awful. But you can get good bikes for that money ie Voodoo, Carrera, Decathlon.
