Just curious on peoples feelings on bikes put together from scratch using various bits and pieces. Seen a bike on t'internet around about what I have to spend,

Fully refurbished road bike with new bottom racket, inner tubes, wheels, bar tape, brake and gear cables. Fully serviced and de greased. 61cm frame suitable for 6ft to 6ft 4 in height, I'm 6ft 2. Shimano sora cassette, rear and front mech. FSA front cranks. Shimano sora STI shifters. Syntace stearer and kenesis forks. Full Aluminium frame, very strong and light. Great bike for beginners or commuters alike. Thanks.

Currently use Raleigh Pursuit which I have grown out of so to speak and just after something to do a few Sportives on.
I've asked what frame its based on and also the gear ratio set up, as I am after something that will do a few hills.
I know most the parts are at the lower end of the scale and I know the chap knows what he is doing etc.

or I go down the cheapo bike route with the Raleigh airlite

Being new to all this just curious to what your feelings are?
