Narrower legged non lycra shorts

I'm after some shorts with padded insert.But don't want the big baggy downhill/MTB style.Any recommendations
anyone?

    You could always get padded boxers and wear them under normal shorts of your choice. Or just wear lycra shorts under normal shorts.

    Second that.

    Makes things easier to clean, you have a wider range of options and it normally works out cheaper

    I got some Bench shorts a while back with a seem-less crotch, they've served me well as "not cycle gear but bought for cycling" the harris is wearing a bit thin now (third year) and last time I checked they don't stock them any more. So check regular clothes shops for seem-less crotch shorts or try searching for touring shorts, they straddle the middle ground between turned up skinny jeans and baggies.
    I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
