Hope the link has worked, not sure I can embed from google docs, but just picked this up and wondering re ID. Clearly been recently powdercoated, but the chap I bought it from said that when he bought it the previous owner has just had it painted and matched the original scheme. Downtube is oval. From graphics would imagine late 80s/early 90s pug, but can't see anything in catalogue that looks similar. Not particularly fussed re 'genuine' or not (only peugeot, not colnago!) but interested to see if I can find out what it might have been....

cheers

Judging by the cable stops on the headtube it was designed for STI type levers, so I would say mid 90's more likely?

Yepp, I would go for mid to late 90s. If you don't get many replies then pop over to retrobike and have a look through their online back catalogue archives.

It's a Columbus Aelle frame, these were mid end bikes - and came with Shimano RSX

    There's one on eBay at the moment - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-Colum ... 1401747768

Thanks all - that's really helpful, for some reason I hadn't been able to find anything online re pueugeots with oval downtubes, this is excellent. I'm going to go and check out retrobike now.
