As the title suggests my Garmin 705 occasionally works, but prone to odd readings.
Apparently I did 48 hours in the saddle earlier today.

But a couple of days ok everything, bar 1 massive momentary spike.

As said it's had a very long lay-off, a couple of years.

I was wondering if there's anyway to 'reboot' it.

For any replies please bear in mind I'm a freakin tech idiot.
Think of me as your nanna, just without the need for shouting.

Factory reset and no doubt there has been a firmware update since you last used it. The Garmin site forum will explain how to do the factory reset, so it's pointless trying to explain it from memory, but it's pressing and holding several buttons at the same time.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
