I am looking to purchase a new bike to use on the road and some light gravel tracks in debyshire. I like both the caadx disk 105 and the synapse disk 105. The reason for considering the synapse is i like the way the cables go through the frame and the higher gearing, however i am insure if the bike /wheels will be strong enough for the gravel tracks. I will also be using this bike to do the london to brighton ride in june.
Please advise
Thanks Mat

The Synapse will be more comfortable over long distances but I've just checked by fitting CX wheels and 33mm tyres to my lads 2013 Synapse Tiagra and although they go in, there's no clearance at the sides so you wont get bigger than 28mm tyres in there really. I'm not sure how durable that would be on the rough stuff.

I think CAADX is the way forward...

Have you looked at the Giant TCX SLR2 with 105 group set at £999 or the Planet X XLS - full carbon frame with 105 group set for £999!

I can't make my mind up between these 2 or the Caadx 105 :?
