Going to take a little while to get all the components together and get it built but here it is for now!
Frame weight ( Frame and Fork with uncut steerer) Came in at 2.17kg
Will be built for racing so going to try and make it as light as possible whilst sticking to a budget.
Watch this space...

Nice. Am really interested to see how this turns out - and well done for resistingthe trend for carbon.
  • Nice... didn't realise these come with an Enve fork! Same colour scheme and material as my Fugio... should be a corker!

Gorgeous. Any hints as to what the rest of the spec' will be?
    Red bikes are the fastest.
  • This is looking quite nice so far, can't wait to see the final build. The green looks nice against the black.
  • The spec will be predominantly 105. Few other "ideas" at the moment include:
    Hope headset
    Ritchey Pro carbon matrix stem
    Ritchey Pro carbon matrix bars
    Charge spoon saddle
Also my Ride argyle wheels for racing and mavic aksium for training.
But like I said watch this space, im 18 so don't have limitless funds cant keep up with the big spenders ;)

I'd rethink the bars and stem. Ritchey WCS alu are lighter and stiffer than the Pro equivalent, and in the case of the bars, much cheaper.

  • The bars are subject to change but the stem isn't... The Ricthey Pro carbon matrix stem is what I had on my old bike and I would like to use that on my new one. I have used the wcs alu stem as that's what was originally fitted to my old bike and although there was a slight weight penalty I found the Pro stem much stiffer?

Just a couple more pieces to the puzzle.
Jagwire road pro cable kit in grey also came, as well as an ultegra chain. Getting closer to being able to get it built up :D Need to get rid of some old stuff before i get anything else.

C260 is way stiffer than the Pro and 30g lighter.

So after little convincing the Ritchey WCS Road curve bars are on the way along with a front derailleur. Only a headset and bottom bracket left to get and then its build time :D Not long now!

Thanks! I wanted to try out oval chainrings! I couldnt resist :) They do look a bit odd but i quite like them, the picture doesn't help at all lol. Although i have kept the old FSA chainrings just in case ;)

  • Looks really really nice. I don't think the chain set detracts at all.

That looks amazing, however they're not 5700 shifters - they look like 5600 to me.

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

Just did the old elbow to saddle/ finger tips to bars trick... Needless to say i think i need a shorter stem (and sitting on the bike obviously) Just ordered a deda zero 2 stem in 110mm to try out for size. Will be replaced with a Ritchey stem asap just need a put me on stem so i can get out and ride!!!

    Superb!

I'm having that bar tape next, couldn't get Lizard Skins green/black so had (not so) plain green.

The saddle is pretty low but he already has a 130mm stem on there so maybe just short legs/long arms?

Definitely right size, the stretched out look was more to do with trying to use parts of my old bike (Which was too small) which seems to have been unsuccessful! The saddle height will be much higher than in this picture too! Like i said there was some final fettling to do before its going anywhere! Think the shorter stem will make the position right! And i would have you find im very average in terms of leg/arm length ;) No odd ball body sizing here haha

What is the offset/layback on your seatpost? The saddle looks quite far back.
If you are short in the legs it maybe worth checking your knee position.
