Anyone here from around ?

I'm retired, and do a couple of rides a week...Weather permitting...circa 40 miles up the lanes to Alrewas and back.

Just checking...

PS I'm a golfer and season ticket holder at WBA...well, that's killed it I guess :D

  • You should hook up with North Birmingham CTC - they're based around Sutton/Shenstone and they even have weekday rides for those who can make them.

Also, check out CC Giro who, I believe, meet near Little Hay for some rides.

I've no personal experience of either but I see them around a lot.

    Cheers.

Coalville wheelers ride out round Alrewas and surroundings fairly regularly. Leave Heather at 09.00 and head off to wherever, regularly ending up at the Beehive Cafe in Rosliston around 11.30 ish. You may be able to seek them out.

  • I live in Sutton, may want to try these also?

I went our with them a couple of times and were OK, I have a fairly young family so starting at 8:30 isn't always ideal so tend to do most of my cycling via commuting or early weekend starts at 6am so I can be back in time for the days chaos!

I'd like to get more involved in club riding, happy to meet up one of the days or at one of the clubs mentioned.

I was an avid golfer at Harbourne Golf Club for 15 years before discovering cycling, I probably won't get into football teams - 1 out of 2 isn't bad.
