I have not had a chance to strap on my race wheels, weigh the bike, take any decent photos or indeed even test-ride the damn thing yet, but here's a sneak peek of my Felt F1:

Here is my Felt..... Its an AR4

Full Ultegra Groupset with FSA carbon crankset.
    Internal cable routing
    Shimano RS30 wheels
    Ultegra pedals

Pretty much standard, will probably be changing the bar tape soon as its getting a bit grubby already. I'm hoping to get some 50mm Carbon wheels for it next year along with carbon stem and bars, hope you like it :D

Lovely bike but is it not to big for you?

The AR looks great!. I wonder if this is a vastly under-rated aero frame b/c it's not the latest latest. Btw it's not too big, a great amount of seatpost showing. The stem is not slammed but the guy is probably not Nadia Comaneci.

Colin, interesting frame choice, please give us your impressions vs the outgoing R5. Always wondered if the R5 is easily eclipsed and Cervelo needs to invest in a massive upgrade to the frame.

I still have my R5 - and will be buying another 2014 frame set later this year. Having ridden the F1 for a bit now, I fully understand what people mean when they talk about a 'harsh ride'. It's the most uncomfortable frame I've ever ridden.

On the plus side, it's a race bike pure and simple. Fast, handles really well, light and stiff. But it's not a patch on the R5 for comfort.

R5 is still hands down the best bike I've personally ridden (although I've not ridden THAT many!)

    Cheers for the comments guys!

Yosti - The picture of the bike was taken straight out of the box, so saddle and bars have been tweeked here and there since then, however embarrassed  too say that i've still not had a bike fit....!

It's a Felt F95 in Monster Green, I won't lie I did buy it because of the colour lol :-)

It has a specialized seat, stem, upper brake levers, black handle tape and shimano clip in pedals.

This year I plan to change to a 105 group set and maybe fit some lighter wheels.

After all the pictures above and looking at the new 2014 Felt F5 I have decided to leave mine as is and make good use of it. While saving up to get a F5 :D

  • Here's my F95 when she was still quite new this time last year, my first road bike:

    DSCF3426.JPG

I did want the Monster Green one like NeilVX but couldn't wait when I could ride away a black one the same day. Bar tape is now black and she is shod in 25mm Conti GP4Seasons. The mudguards have been discarded as a PITA. Doesn't look quite so fresh now but she is a fine steed and we've had some great times together so far! Saving up to get something a bit further up the range eventually. Also got a Six70 MTB.

Currently setup for hill work with a set of Mavic RSYS SL's which mean that as it is in the picture the bike is 6.8KG. Will also be running with a set of Planet X 60mm carbon clinchers in the summer.

Hopefully the pic works, had a bit of trouble with sizing.

Pretty standard apart from the upgraded chainset and wheels, although the original Fulcrums are still in use.
