Question on fork size

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster here. I have a 2012 Giant SCR2 and was thinking of upgrading the fork from the stock alloy to carbon. I've done some research and found that when it comes to sizes, there's a 1 1/8 fork and also there's a 1 1/8 to 1 1/2 fork.

My question is, which sizes should I get to replace my current fork? I've tried searching the internet and the Giant website is useless, so was wondering if any kind soul in here can help me out? Thanks!

    Looks like a straight forward 1 1/8 fork to me due to the straight head tube. The bearings look the same size top and bottom.

    The 1 1/8 - 1 1/2 tapered fork uses a much larger lower bearing and so the head tube will look much fatter at the bottom above the fork

    Standard 1 1/8" road fork - tapered steerer fork won't fit.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
