My sons first 700c road bike

These custom builds are becoming a bit of a habit!

Here is my son's first 700c road bike (he has been on smaller wheeled bikes before this one). Based on a 41cm Ridley Icarus frame, the aim was to produce something that was very light (as there is nothing of him!) but didn't break the bank. Nearly everything here is either off eBay or the spares bin, with only a few things brand new.

The bike has been stored for a little while until he grew into it. He now *just* fits it (angle of the photo of him standing behind it makes him look smaller against it than he is), and it got ridden for the first time on Sunday. I'm told it is 'awesome' and 'everything feels so easy'. :)
