Hi
My brother has Hydraulic brakes fitted to his bike and the other week he came off it and since then the front brake lever has been too close to the handlebar. Just wondering if anyone knows how to adjust it? you can see the difference between the two from the pictures attached.
Thanks

  • there;s usally a wee screw on the lever which you can turn to push it out a but but if he fell off, it sounds as though he;s damaged it in some way. Does the lever still work?

Looks like a Clarks Skeletal Brake - you might be able to pick up a "spares or repair" secondhand one quite cheaply on ebay and chop and change the levers over.

Try screwing it back in,if it goes in the lever reach will adjust back out...if not the lever is goosed.
  • Looks like the reach adjuster is stripped out.
You could try putting some full strength loctite in there and set it the same as the other side as it sets, you won't ever adjust it again and really jiggering with brakes is a recipe for disaster, but up to you.
