Bargain???

Hi guys just popped over from the mtb section,my local argos clearance store is selling ventura cp 50 carbon road bikes for £499. Don't know if they are any good but if anyone was interested i thought i'd let you's know. The shop is in Stanley Co.Durham.

    Crap Sora spec and R500 wheels - swap these out and you're probably left with a frame that's not worth upgrading anyway. Thanks but no thanks. £500 can bag a decent secondhand bargain with considerably better spec so not worth buying this new IMO

    Had a look. Don't care for Sora but some of the pics appear to be 2013 Sora? i.e. 9 speed Tiagra like. Wheels are R500 which are just ok.

    Frame looks similar to other cheapy carbon models.

    Won't set the world alight but interesting.........

    What he said. There are probably better bargains to be had buying second hand if you know your road gear but this seems pretty good value as an entry level bike, especially if it is 2013 sora (with the paddle shifters).
