    Lots to do with blood circulation stimulation.
    There are less painful ways to achieve the same results. :P

    I'm all for teenagers taking frequent cold showers.

    You can have too much of a good thing though. Back in my youth I was on the Mountaineering Club's annual trip winter climbing around Glencoe. Taking a nice warm shower after a long day in the mountains when several buckets of snow came flying over the top of the shower cubicle. That certainly closed a few pores.

    Cold water won't break down grease or clean in your pores since they close so you're not actually cleaning yourself very well.

    I always wash my hands in cold water if I've been handling something smelly. Chuff, for example...

  • In boarding school in Africa we showered with cold water and still do. I have to say my doctor and massage therapist rave about my skin. :)
