Lots to do with blood circulation stimulation.

I'm all for teenagers taking frequent cold showers.
You can have too much of a good thing though. Back in my youth I was on the Mountaineering Club's annual trip winter climbing around Glencoe. Taking a nice warm shower after a long day in the mountains when several buckets of snow came flying over the top of the shower cubicle. That certainly closed a few pores.0 -
Cold water won't break down grease or clean in your pores since they close so you're not actually cleaning yourself very well.0

In boarding school in Africa we showered with cold water and still do. I have to say my doctor and massage therapist rave about my skin.0
