Cycle path roadkill - here's a weird one.

Cycling to work a few days ago, I passed something dead on the side of the path. Not too unusual in itself, except this wasn't a rabbit, a bird, a badger or a fox. This was a little unusual, and a lot more improbable.

What's the weirdest dead thing you've ever cycled past?

Bizarre. I did pass a foot long fish in the gutter once. And a good couple of miles from the sea.0

Are you near the sea? My guess would be someone using their path on the way for a spot of fishing dropped their bait.0

I cycled past a small plaice once, however it was on the coast cycle path in Brighton and it was in the process of being eaten by a gull, if you're near the N Wales coast a sea bird could have dropped it??0

Yes, that was my guess too. Still a surprise to see it though. Not your average roadkill experience!Alan

Had a Heron strewn across the path I cycled on yesterday. Nice bird it was too, bit of a shame really.0
