Boxxer not getting full travel - too much damping oil?

Hi
I have some Rockshoxx 2012 boxxers that are only getting 170mm of their travel. I have tried three different springs but still not improvement. I believe I may need to remove some of the damping oil.
I was wondering if there is a quick way to do this without doing a full service on the fork...can it be done without removing the stanchions from the lowers? If I do have to remove the stanchions from the lowers, I;m pretty sure I could have a go at doing this but how do I drain the damping oil and out put the correct amount back in again?

I had a similar problem with my Pikes recently.
The issue on mine was caused by a blown seal. The damping oil had leaked out and then collected at the bottom of the fork lowers.Pitch Pro - http://heathy.pinkbike.com/album/My-Bike

Try backing off the bottom out adjuster. It may be ramping up too much. Also do you have the correct weight spring?
The damper wont stop you getting full travel and it needs to have a set amount of oil to work so you don't want to remove oil.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Remove the spring and see if you can get full travel then by compressing them.0

As I said above , if you go to service pdf on sram web it gives step by step instructions. On my sid it would be possible to remove and replace damping oil by undoing a single 24mm nut. Turn bike upside down and drain oil. However it's better to take fork off bike in the end. Sram tell you exactly how much and what weight of oil to use.

Just identify year and type of boxer fork and follow instructions . They are far better than trying generic you tube vids0
