As the title suggests.... I want to swap the masssssive 32t cassette that's just came with my new road bike. It's got a 105 long cage derailleur and I just wanted to know whether there'd be any problems using the 25t cassette with it?

Apologies in advance if I'm being a bit thick with this one :?

No problems, it will work fine.

You may be able to reduce the chain length if you wish, although it is not as important as increasing chain length if you go back to the 32 cassette.

I run a 105 triple with a 12-25 cassette and long rear mech, so it will definitely work with a double.

As above, you should shorten the chain.

I've went ahead and ordered a 12-27t for now. I'll see how that feels and will know for future reference that I can always go lower if needs be :)
