In the market for a race ready cross bike, £1500 max budget, rim brakes.

Was looking at the colnago world cup 2.0, but open to other suggestions.

that or something like it is my stock answer to and "what do I buy" question.

get 'em before they've all gone to silly discs
    When a cyclist has a disagreement with a car; it's not who's right, it's who's left.

The Super X is sweet, but if you want truly race ready, you will likely be needing different wheels. By then you might want to look at utilising what you have in your parts box, and building up your own race ready machine.

So a frame as a starting point.

Still a really fast and robust frame, but now at a great price.

This is the bargain of the century if you can get it in your size. Brilliant frames.
  • Was it not an 80s steel racer you were after?
Or was it a titanium frame for racing?

Focus Mares have always been good frames... the BMC that Cyclingsheep has looks like a lean mean machine
