I'm doing a bit more cycling this year so despite trying to save for our wedding I got this Focus Izalco Team frame and have swapped all my bits over, it's a bit bigger and being carbon hopefully more comfortable than the alu Tifosi CK Columbus it replaces which has always been a bit small for me.

Hopefully next year I will either rebuild it again with Ultegra 6700 or just get something new, but for the time being the existing kit will have to do.

Spec is:
Focus Team Izalco Frame 2009 (I think) XL (58cm c-c)
FSA Orbit 1 1/8th" Headset

Shimano Ultegra (6500) Silver 9 Spd Double Chainset - 175mm 39/52
Shimano Ultegra 6500 Octalink Bottom Bracket - English Thread
Shimano 9 Spd Ultegra 6500 Cassette 12-25
SRAM PC-991 Chain

Shimano Ultegra 6500 Double Fr. Derailleur - Braze-on
Shimano Ultegra 6500 9 Spd Rear Derailleur - Short Cage
Shimano STI Levers Ultegra 6500

Shimano Ultegra Silver 6500 Brakes
Xero Maravilloso wheelset (Front 755g Rear 953g)
Hutchinson Fusion 2 Tyres
Michelin A1 AirComp Latex Tubes
Look Keo Classic Pedals

FSA Gossamer Bars 44cm c-c
A non-branded stem while I play around with position on the bike

I put it on my luggage scale and it showed 7.8kg, though they do under-read slightly so probably nearer 8.5kg.

I'll get a more OCP photo up tomorrow once I've had a chance to ride it!

Id try levelling that seat before you ride it pal, you might slide off!
  • I had the aero bars on the old frame because I did the London triathlon at the weekend, hence the raked forward position! Yes it will be levelled before I ride it with standard drops.

  • Still looks like you need to buy the right size bike.
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

Yup: level the saddle, sort the stem and bar height, pop some black tape on and get rid of all the red bits and it'll be smart.

Rubbish - looks fine. Long legs, normal torso set up like mine.

Quite smart once all that red tat is off, still not sure about saddle being level.

I have the slightly newer version (2014 model I think) and love mine. Underrated as they don't look very 'bling' by modern standards.
