I'm sure we will all sleep easier in our beds tonight...
Is it me or does the kangaroo look like a meerkat?

    Aah, thought so.
    If you drew a couple of antlers on it you would have 'kangaroo of the glen,
    Or with a moustache it would be 'the laughing kangaroo'

    you have some interesting thoughts, i like it, if you painted it white and put feathers on it and a black beak with long black legs and web feet you could call it an ugly duckling :idea:

    I think the dingo looks a bit foxish and the kangaroo has a bloody mouse' head for god's sake :shock:
    Did he go more off descriptions of the animals rather than actual sightings? If my lad had painted them they'd be in a cupboard, at best.

    in those days (last tues) they didnt all travel the world, so he would have painted it from a discription by sum other jonny, (mabey) they also spelp things dif bak then, it was nown as a cangerroo for many years, i think i just made that up :?:. 2 sugars in mine ta

    I think the story is that Stubbs didn't go on the trip and the artist died. As he had never seen these beasts they were painted from a sketch and a skin which was inflated. Probably did a fair job in the circumstances..
