650c tyre for light off road use?

My girlfriend has a Triban 3 with 650c wheels. Just moved nearer the New Forest and she has expressed an interest in some country rides which will include fire roads and light trials through woods etc. I need to replace the standard tyres with something with a bit more grip on loose surfaces, volume and puncture resistance. Finding it difficult to find anything suitable in this size. Anyone got any suggestions?

I think you will struggle to find CX tyres in 650c - I'm not even sure such a thing exists. There are a few options for off road tyres in certain other ETRTO 26" sizes, but I'm not aware of anything specifically in 650c.0

I used to have a frame built for 650c wheels that could just about take a 26" wheel with a slim mountain bike tyre. It had long drop brakes tho', which reached the rims. It made the bike far more versatile.0
