Wheelmen (new book)

Just finished reading this and have to say it was a thoroughly good read.

Lays out, in one place, the sorry saga of how intertwined, deep and far reaching the drugs problem went/goes in US cycling.

A lot of it is already well publicised but the connections between teams, sponsors, management and financiers is, in my view, pretty condeming. Knowing how poor LA's reputation is there's some stuff in there which will damn further.

Just to be clear I'm not wishing to start a new LA thread I'm just saying the book is worth a read.

  • Read it and enjoyed it - though that's it, no more Lance-USPS books now, I've had my fill

But somebody, just anybody, pls explain how Ochowicz has got away with things so far...

I'm not reading any of the books or watching any of the films....

    ...I'm waiting for the musical.

Reading between De Heer Bruneeyl's tweets yesterday, he might have a few bombshells to drop on Mr Ochowicz!

Yeah, clocked that. Does anyone really think that The Hog's not going to take some people down with him? This arbitration hearing's gearing up to be a platform for him to do this very thing.

    Happy Christmas everyone!

I'm also envisiging a massive dance number between Armstrong and Kimmage with lots of chair swapping, sort of in the style of Make 'em Laugh from Singing in the Rain...
