Ive recently bought my first pair of spd shoes and pedals and my feet seem to pump up and get quite sore!
Is there an easy fix? or has anyone suffered from the same problem? its becoming really annoying.

You may be over tightening them.

  • I'm going to try not too tighten them too much hopefully it's that simple. I'll feel abit daft if it is!

Don't be tempted to wear thicker socks when it turns colder. Insulate from the outside with a decent pair of neoprene overshoes.

Navrig is spot on, neoprene overshoes are wonderful. My Planet-X set were only 15 quid and have lasted for years.

  • A good tip is to put the shoe on and curl up your toes so as to raise the bridge of the foot. Then tighten the straps nice and tight before relaxing the toes. This should give you plenty of room and no sore feet.
  • tbh things have got a bit better with more riding but im still suffering the shoes dont feel too big for me!
maybe ill have to too get used to it. maybe its just me?
