Anything comparable to a 2013 Allez Elite with Tiagra? There is a Colnago Move at Wiggle but it hasnt got smooth welds also a Battaglin Devil 2012 but with Xenon. I can build a bike but at this kind of price Im not sure its possible. I would prefer Veloce but not too bothered.
Pegoretti
Colnago
Cervelo
Campagnolo

This may be worth considering but I have never dealt with the retailer :-

I bought mine for £700 in the sales and the only upgrade I did was the brakes to 105's which were very good in the dry and have now installed swisstop green brake pads now we have the wet weather.

Pauls cycles also have a good selection of reduced bikes in your price range but again I have never dealt with them before.

Can you use the C2W scheme?

  • Hi - I've just bought a *Basso Devil for my son and I think it's a cracking bike for the cash - £563 delivered.

They have re-stocked(?) the Basso's and have the Cinelli Experience Veloce in for £699 to.

Getting slower as I get older, but getting faster the more I cycle.
  • Wiggle have a excellent deal on a carbon Raleigh at the moment. The new Raleigh frames are supposed to be excellent and the APEC and kit looks good too...

This place has some goodies too..

If you can find it the MEKK A1 Pinerolo from the list above is probably one of the best rated ALU frame and lightest bike under £700. Has excellent reviews too. There is a Blue Tiegra version too.http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/p/1285 ... -2013-sale
The latter would be my choice in that price range.

The Cinelli Experience is 9.0kg in that list and the Basso Devil (in 45cm and £563!) that we bought weighed 8.4-5kg in a 45cm size so similar I guess.

The colnago move is a bargain, most people will automatically assume you are on a £3k bike. It's predecessor the Prima and Primavera were well regarded.

The cinelli Experience is also a good bike. Remember seeing somebody racing on a stock experience and he was flying.

Not sure how somebody could go for a ribble, trek, focus etc when those two are on the table.

Its for my wife and the Basso Devil looks too masculine to her. She likes the Move with its pearlescent white paint but Im worried it might be a bit of a tank. Its now been superseded by the Strada SL which looks identical but is possibly lighter. Not sure why the Move has so much money off it.
