It's the 2010 model, old stock. Always fancied a Merckx, sharp looking bike in that colour scheme and it's got nice light wheels too. But not popular in the UK by the looks of things, they have a few like this on the site.

Specialized Roubaix SL3 Expert 2012, Cannondale CAAD5,
Marin Mount Vision (1997), Edinburgh Country tourer, 3 cats!

5k is the rrp which really doesn't mean a lot, it does look nice though but I'm sure you can get a full Di2 2013 Giant for £2100.

Fair point. But it wouldn't have such a nice frame as that Merckx, just look at the detail shots of it's 3k weave.

I agree it's a lovely bike and if it tugs at your heart then everything else will pale at the side of it :)
  • Think i'd prefer Chorus and Zondas over that fugly Ultegra and Giant wheels
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

But you've got to be a shorta$$ to ride the only frame sizes that they have left.

    No Merckx is different, size 50 is a large 19 1/2 "

The bikes poor value though, CRC were selling 2011 EMX-3 Dura Ace models for £1600 with
    full FSA carbon finishing kit.

It seems to be a CRC speciality to buy up new old stock models in volume from distributors. I remember last x-mas they had loads of 2011 carbon Ghost MTBs going for 60% off.
  • CRC own Hotlines who are the distributors for Ghost

I see. Bit of a monopoly really. The dealer network cut out of the loop.
A dangerous game really as heavy discounting diminishes a brands image.
  • it seems they only do the big discount on sizes they have a hard time of selling , are these really little bikes?

Various Merckx models have been on the site for ages. A size 48 is a medium.
