I currently wear a Boardman road helmet but it needs replacing now, my head is about 60cm but seems to be quite long compared to it's width (mental images of the elephant man!...) So even some large helmets are a squeeze.
Any ideas??

I'm not confessing to an odd shaped head but I do wear a large Kask Mojito (59-62cm) and it a very comfortable fit. I think you just need to try before you buy.

I find Specialized OK and I have large "oval" head rather than round.

I also have a Cratoni helmet for "best" which fits well to, it only has the dial adjuster strap at the back rather than all the way round like the spec ones. works just as well but feels a bit different after wearing a spec for years

Another suggestion for the Kask, but soecialized seem OK to me too. It it really a matter of getting out and trying as many as you can.
