I've recently purchased thule 941 two bike carrier very good piece of kit, however when two full suspension bike are mounted it's very difficult to get the arms where I would like them them to be due to different frame designs, has anyone modified or any tips that could help me,
I'm will use pipe lagging on the fork legs as they are touching the chain stay of oposite bike.
Thanks Andy

Bit difficult to understand your problem withou seeing it.
I have a pair of Thule carriers on my roof bars and there's a good couple of feet between the bikes.
  • Sure when I get on PC ill link some up. Its prob just a case of trialling diff positions out, they are tightly positioned on the towbar mount system.

I understand what you mean, i just got one and my nomad is a little akward just by its self, luckily the second bike is my kids bike, this will have to go on the inside.

This bike frame adaptor might be able to help you reposition the bikes (or one of them)

Also look at this item, ignore the extra rail but that top tube to top tube clamp would be handy, I just cant find one by itself.

No rear wheel straps? or did you fotoshop them out?
/edit: doesn't even look like you extended the trays?
  • the trays don't go back any further but they do cup the wheel, and I didn't put rear one on as I was just fitting arms to test, but be sure they will be on when I give it a test drive
