Why chalk boards?
They are boards. They are black.
Has anyone ever really been offended by the word blackboard?
Can white people get offended by the chalky inference?
Just curious.

None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

How about white boards, I find that very offensive"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Exactly.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0

Agreed then, from now on no 'black boards' or 'white boards', just educational visual interface devices"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

But will that offend Jevids?
This could get tricky.
Yes, the Jevid-ite's are an easily offended bunk"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Is this in response to my post on "Office Notice"?
Always good to get a mass debate going.
Could this turn into a helmet thread?0 -
No helmets or mass debates here please, keep that for BB"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

A mass debate would be heavy going.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0

Messy.
We'd need that cleaning lady that pinerello001 uses after Susanna Reid's been over at his place"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Well judging by the picture he posted of her yesterday she does do something other than clean but I don't think it's to do with crime scenes "Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. School chalk isn't even actual chalk - it's calcium sulphate (Plaster of Paris*) rather than calcium carbonate ("real" chalk).

*I'm assuming it's OK to use that term. Or does it have "protected geographical indication" and is only Plaster of Paris if it's manufactured in France?"It is not enough merely to win; others must lose." - Gore Vidal0 -

According to Wikipedia there are 3 places in France named Mars plus another 2 in the US, so not entirely implausible.

I think they only exist in African classrooms these days ... And on the back of motorbikes in the poorer cycle races of course. It does amuse me when the whizzy, all singing all dancing interactive whiteboards crash as they often do.... Utter chaos0

In a cross thread coincidence........
They have installed blackboards on the walls opposite all the lift doors in our office building.
They are supposed to have varying inspirational messages.
They are blank.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

I've started a thread for you Daviesee to generate some 'inspirational' messages for you to impart on your colleagues"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"
