Frame Buying Advise.

My brother is looking to get a new frame to replace his old GT Avalanche. At the moment the Piglet is the front runner, but would like to know if there is anything else worth considering. Not after pure XC but something that can do a little of everything, which the Piglet seems able to do. Has Reba RL forks at the moment which can go to 120mm, so the frame needs to be ok the that.
Doesn't want carbon fiber, either aluminium or steel. If it's a steel frame he would like it to have a replaceable mech hanger.
Budget is £400 max.

Don't think you really need a replaceable gear hanger on a steel frame. On-One will probably be the most economical but as above Pipedream get very good reviews, as does the new Piglet and Cotic Soul (slightly over budget).Planet X Kaffenback 2
