Cycling trousers/tights? Help!

Hi All,

I'm looking for some cycling clothing advice from people in the know pretty please! :D

I have recently discovered a love for mountain biking and this very week, finally purchased a bike of my own. The other half has been determined to drag me from the Spinning studio and out on to trails and he's finally succeeded. It's like Christmas has come early in our house!

However, I am really keen to wear ankle length trousers/tights and I am currently wearing running rights which aren't necessarily ideal with padded shorts underneath. Can anyone suggest any longer length cycling tights or trousers please? My other half thinks that wearing something longer might conflict with knee pads (which I also need to buy). Does anyone have an opinion on this? It might sound daft, but I somehow find it reassuring to wear something full length.

Thanks in advance! All advice extremely appreciated. x

    Get thee to Aldi.
Today's special offer is cycling clothing, including ladies padded winter tights.

  • Good tip JBA - just checked out their website. Looks good! Will get down to my local Aldi tomorrow - which hopefully won't be too late!

Apart from your thinly-veiled advert flyen the original post was from 5 years ago. I suspect the OP has got something sorted by now.
