    Thetford would be your closet main place for trails.

    I live on the out skirts of Ipswich.... Been to thetford forest which is worth a visit but yesterday went to Tunstall forest for the first time (much closer to me) and that's not bad either.

    Less "signed" routes than at thetford but saying that you can go off the signed main trail route and wonder around other paths etc.

    The signed route at Tunstall was about 11 miles round, which was plenty for me lol.
