Hi,
I have decided to start mountain biking with a couple of friends over Cannock chase, the only problem is i don't know what bike to buy.I have been recommended the Trek Cobia 2013 as the frame and wheels are suitable for my build (23inch)
I am using the bike to loose weight,
I currently weigh around 22 stone, 6:4 in height. Are there any bikes suitable for what i need that are under the £700 price mark.
Thanks,
Dan

hi dan
i would first have a quick read of this
viewtopic.php?f=40074&t=12846847
and this
viewtopic.php?t=12566711
my personal advise would be to first join british cycling the bronze package for £15, i say this because joining will get you 10% off at halfords
my advise would be to have a look at the voodoo hoodoo £499 - 10% = 449
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165499
or the boardman pro, this is on offer at the mement at £849 and - 10% = 764

the spec on both bikes are amazing for the money, but go to your local halfords and see what the sizing is like for you
a lot of people will bash halfords for been monkeys but its about the bike not the place, as long as you give the bike a look over before going out on a epic ride you should be alright. now let the bashing begin LoL0
