    Very unusual.

What's the dropout arrangement on the other side of the rear stays?

The way the dropouts force the seat stays to join so far up the chain stays makes it look very short and tall!

What made you go for this design / what does the unusual set-up make it most suitable for?

Looks like a cross between a track bike and a CX bike. Guess its not for CX due to the under the top tube cabling!

    Looks beautifully crafted btw.

Well tbh it started as a single speed commuter project (hence the dropouts) but because of the delays and me having disposable money it turned out to be this. The dropouts are a copy of sliding dropouts from paragon machine works. (http://mashafix.com/wp-content/uploads/ ... 015010.jpg)

It is NOT a cx bike, the only way to describe it is that it is a road bike with disc brakes with clearances for thicker tyres. I am currently running 28c Marathon Supremes but it can take 32c tyres plus full sized mudguards easily.

How many spacers do you have?

How tall is the conical top cap?

Just have 1 spacer (2mm) as a mandatory between headset top cap and V Twin mount (which is like 1mm) I am guessing headset top cap is 2mm as well, would slam if I could. Will be getting -10 degree stem soon

What's your opinion on the marathon supremes?

Working on a similar project myself, but with a cross frame. Just need to pick a decent pair of 28mm tyres.

    BEST. TYRES. EVER.
I have them on 3 of my 4 bikes. My criteria when I bought them was fast rolling, thick and light tyre. They fit the bill but a little pricey. I have done close to 1000 miles on my commuter with them in London, not a single puncture.
  • Great build. 8)
How easy was the V-twin to set up? I was thinking of getting one to convert the discs on my CX bike.
