I actually think the censors do a pretty reasonable job (I use the words censor as I dont want to be seen talking about moderators), it cant be that easy, some of the comments on here can be a little antagonistic or self righteous at times and its probably easier locking threads rather than enter into a mass debating session. Given some of the recent headlines about bullying, even though this is a fairly laid back (well except for some of the commuter threads) forum I guess as a censor you have have to be right on your knuckles to CYA.

As ive stated several times, it didnt effect me, how can my life change for the worse because a guy on here calls me stupid for getting fit on a trainer bike ? Ive dealt with much bigger things in my real life so thats a walk in the park.

The issue is that others could feel differently when they are attacked, not everyone has the ability to shrug it off.
I would guess that maybe 95% of adult members here can but its the 5% that are the concern.

We are all talking about this subject but the real issue is why ?
Why be nasty and rude ? being ok with people has done me well, I would suggest those angry people try it for a week, life will be better I assure you.

I didnt mean to suggest you had that issue, just that the issues exist, and there are solutions.

They really aren't - a concern that is. If they cannot cope with a few harsh words on the forum, then they will have much bigger issues elsewhere and solving the forum issues will make no difference to their life. They still have the 'off' button and some people need to get over things and move on.

Darwin will take care of them along with people who cross the roads without looking, people who play with fire and people who watch X factor and think its really good.
