Lazy painting

Good evening everyone,
What would be the simplest/fastest way to repaint a bike?
Is it possible to simply paint over the current paint job? Current paint job was glossy (it's old and fading) and i intend to paint it matte black.
What kind of paint can i use? Can i use a brush? I have no area that i could use to spray it.

Yes i'm lazy... and i don't expect good results but i want to know what are my options before doing anything.

    It's a big job stripping the components, and sanding the old paint so the new paint will stick to it. Then putting it back together.

    It's a load of work for a result that will be 'not very good'.

    A lazy job would be to use gaffer tape to cover most of it:-)

    Sorry, just looked at the top picture.
    I imagine it looks a mess up close, and the paint will begin to flake off the components.
    This is the standard paint job for stolen bikes around here.

    It'll look like you nicked it. Maybe this is OK.

    Looks like the guy used some primer before doing the painting. Would that be a little better?

    I'm not!
    It really does give a 'stolen' look then... well that's not bad since the bike stays parked in some shady places. I guess that's also half of the paint jobs in my town!
