black stuff on fork

Hi

I have a Voodoo Bizango 29er with Suntour Raidon LO 29 fork and im getting black marks on the forks every time I ride. Is this normal?

    If its just crap getting pushed up by the dust seals then it is normal. You need to be giving the stanchions a wipe over with soapy water at the end of each ride to prevent any grime from marking the stanchions. I give mine a wipe over with Fork Juice too afterwards.

    I have the same bike, same marks on stanchions too.

    This happens quite frequently, so it's not that unusual. Just clean it off after every ride - should prevent any unpleasant accidents.
