When and why did Wiggle stop selling Focus bikes?

Wiggle without Focus feels like a disturbance in the Force....

AFAIK Focus thought wiggle were a distributor when they originally teamed up & weren't too impressed they were only sold by wiggle.

Since that contract ended they are now distributing only to local bike shops.

It seems that Focus don't allow mail order and internet sales. I guess they want to make sure that their bikes are put together by qualified people. I'm sure most people on here could put a bike together properly but that's not true of the population in general.

basically a few years ago wiggle messed up and preordered to many bikes and then did not call them off. Derby Cycles were a bit peeved at holding the stock that wiggle did not take. that was the start of the end of the relationship.

there was talk of getting then into Halfords at one point.
