Driving from Liverpool to the midlands this morning and all of a sudden, bang, engine popped and clouds of smoke everywhere.
I couldnt do anything so decided to continue and drove all the way back, when I got back the engine cut out and of course wont be starting again
Its only the second time this has happened to me, the first when I was 19. Not a good feeling.

I blew the head gasket on my first car, a Renault 5, on the M62! No temperature gauge, just an intermittent warning light like an elderly glow-worm which I ignored just once too often  Good old RAC!0

Sorry to hear about the engine VTech. I suspect with the cars that you drive a replacement isn't going to come cheap.0
