    Couldn't agree more.

I have a feeling that this and online casinos will be the new 'toxic debt' in approx 5 years time. I can see it now, "It wasn't my fault, gambling was made too easily accessible to me and I lost everything, who do I sue?"

I have only ever been in a Bingo hall once, never again, feet stuck to the floor and it smelt of stale urine.......it was like being in a Chicago Rock Cafe. I dont get online gambling, video roulette in betting shops, once a fortnight i may buy a lottery ticket and do occasional sweepstakes at work but thats it.

I have seen first hand how gambling can ruin lives, a school friend was addicted to fruit machines and it cost him his job and relationship.
Life isnt like a box of chocolates, its like a bag of pic n mix.

Nothing worse than playing bingo without understanding the rules, shouting 'BINGO!' The caller inspecting your card, then making you jump in a swimming pool fully clothed for f@cking up, in front of all the other guests at the hotel.

    F**k off bingo!

    True.

Did anyone read the article recently about the people playing for biscuits in Spain, and they are now facing jail time for running illegal gambling rackets?

    Illegal gambling.
    Petty but rules is rules....
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

I think it was more that they used undercover officers to stake the place out several times, and then confiscated all their equipment, and then took the entire pub full of customers down the nick until it was sorted out.

They could have just served them a notice telling them to stop.

possession of drugs (any class) below a 10 day supply is not a criminal offense here, BUT bingo is a criminal offense.

...oh, apart from cruise ships, poundland, Croydon, ASDA, Primark and Ibeefa.

Escaping from reality is never a bad thing. If you do it for a small amount of time, just enough to still remember its fake but enough to enjoy it, it's healthy.

Then spend 50p on a copy of the Sun. Much cheaper than going to Vegas.

Depression and fun are two very different things :)
Trust me, get yourself to vegas and you will instantly change your mind.

I have been to Vegas and I have to say it is hell on earth. The arsehole of the world.
No-one has ever accused me of being sophisticated, but Las Vegas takes tackiness down to a whole new level.
Each to their own though. Nowt as queer as folk, and all that.

I've never met anyone who didnt like Vegas.
I've met plenty who went for too long and would go for 4-5 days next time as apposed to a week but never anyone who didnt like it at all.

I can't think of anything I would want or need for 4-5 days that I couldnt get in Vegas. It has it all.
