I have just bought a Zefal Artica water bottle from Decathlon for 7 quid.It holds 700ml and says it helps keeps drinks colder for longer much like a Thermos.

As yet i haven't tried it,but has anyone else used them.Do you chill or freeze your drinks beforehand and just chuck in some ice cubes if going out for a couple of hours.Nothing beats a nice cold drink when it is hot, much better than warm or luke warm drinks.

My understanding has always been that ice cold drinks whilst exercising is not good for you. Comments??

  • I put 2 bottles in the fridge before riding on really hot days.
One bottle for drinking, the other for pouring cold water down my back on really long climbs.
