Hunting for a 700cc 20h clincher rim, any ideas?

Hey,

I recently did the London to Brighton, well, London to Haywards Heath to be exact! Someone frustratingly signalled a right turn as I was about to overtake on the right-hand side. I emergency braked but they didn't look behind and I went flying! I'm ok, besides a bit less skin in a few areas, but my front wheel and rear mech took a knock.

My beautiful bike is a Cube Axial GTC Pro (2012) (http://www.thebikelist.co.uk/cube/axial ... c-pro-2012). I bought it second hand in a like-new condition only 2 months ago and would like to keep it looking pretty. The rim of my front wheel is bent, but the wheels (Easton EA50 Aero Customs) were made specifically for Cube to put on the Axial pro. They are now using DT Swiss wheels on their 2013 model so couldn't help me source a complete wheel and they are not for sale on the Easton website.

Instead I'm trying to find a new rim and build the wheel with my intact hubs and spokes, but the hubs are 20 spoke and finding a suitable replacement is proving impossible. The rim needs to be 700cc, 20 hole and a clincher type, preferably in black. So far this is the only candidate I have found (http://www.velocitywheels.com/store/pro ... =23&cID=18), but I can't find any velocity stockists in the UK. Does anyone know where I could buy one of these rims? Or the details of another suitable rim I could use?

    You can get a Deep V from Brick Lane Bikes, which is the Uk distributor (50 POUNDS) . Otherwise a Kinlin XR 300 will be the same, you can buy one from www.sdeals.com 39.99 + delivery

    I use both rims routinely and they are both good, if you are a light rider I would probably go for the lighter Kinlin

    Brilliant! Such a quick response to.

    The second bike shop I took the wheel to was sure I couldn't get 20 hole road rim, but knew it must exist if you knew where to look, so thanks for the heads up!

    I'm definitely going to go for the lighter Kinlin rim, as I'm 5'4" and 7.5 stone, so crushing it under me is not an issue and I'd obviously love to shave off a few extra pounds where ever possible.

    Bizarrely enough, in NZ where I am, you can buy Easton rims on their own. Probably something about Kiwis fixing stuff no matter what. I have a 18/20H Easton set up on my Xero hubs. They are jolly light but very expensive. I would expect to be able to supply you rim if interested. But it would set you back at least 80 quid plus carriage.
